I've also worked on the block from week one of Junelle's Wildflowers course (I know I'm only in week two and the class is getting ready to start week five!). I've done some more sketching but haven't taken pictures of those yet.
The head looks a little funny but overall I'm pleased with it :)
Next project was inspired by Tamara Laporte's Art Heart and Healing. In it she talks about writing down the negative thoughts you have and then she has you cover it all up with gesso. I did the opposite. I left it all there because no matter how much you hide it, the fact is those thoughts still emerge so instead of pretending they aren't there, I say to embrace it! Accept that those are thoughts you have but despite all the bad things you may think, that you are still a beautiful person. You are still exactly who you are meant to be. :)
Lastly here is a sewing adventure for myself. I was trying to follow a pattern for a little zippered bag. As you can see, the sides are very wonky lol! I was sewing on floor because I don't have a table for it so I would use my elbow to push the pedal as I fed the machine fabric. And I didn't have a cutting mat or chalk so I did the best I could with measurements and then just cut with scissors on the carpet. I'm sure some of these factor into my imperfect project but I still think its adorable in its quirky way :)
It may be a little while again before I post more new things, I'll be working the next 7 days straight then off to the beach!! :)
Quick Question: Who all has taken the supplies me class with Jane Davenport? I would love to take it but her classes are quite expensive for me so I want to make sure I'd get my money's worth first. Christy Tomlinson has taught me quite a bit about various supplies in her 3 hearts workshop, would you say Jane's classes offers extra or covers a lot of the same things?
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!
